ECRM's Sustainability Education is the leading source of information about Wal-Mart's environmental initiatives and the company's Sustainable Packaging Scorecard. Now more important than ever after the February, 2008 suggested deadline, our comprehensive classes and robust learning materials show companies how to: Efficiently enter packages into the scorecard. Use included single and multi-item entry tools. Proactively find ways to improve package scores. Find more sustainable packaging material suppliers and service providers. Participants will also learn more about: Wal-Mart’s overall sustainability Technical and sustainability aspects of packaging. Examples of packaging sustainability innovations. All Sustainability Education classes and learning materials are developed and presented by Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM) and Mars Packaging Knowledge Group (MarsPKG). ECRM is a significant contributor to Wal-Mart's environmental efforts and worked with the retailer and a consortium of environmental organizations, industry experts and government agencies to help develop the Sustainable Packaging Scorecard, Package Modeling and MarketGate Packaging Source.

Packaging Scorecard Training Training sessions are focused on teaching attendees how to efficiently enter packages into Wal-Mart's Sustainable Packaging Scorecard and how to use related technologies to find potential improvements. Personnel for all Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and packaging companies should attend.   MarketGate Packaging Source Buyers and suppliers of environmentally-friendly packaging can have difficulty connecting - Packaging Source makes it easy to network with other companies interested in the most sustainable packaging possible. Products made available through Packaging Source can be seen by all Wal-Mart suppliers completing the Sustainable Packaging Scorecard.   Packaging Modeling Software Changes can dramatically affect a package's environmental impact and score on Wal-Mart's Sustainable Packaging Scorecard. With Package Modeling, companies can see the effects of changes prior to finalizing designs and find the right combination of changes that most improves a package's score.   Upcoming Training Sessions Each classroom training session includes 8 hours of classroom instruction and copies of all course materials.
